Submersible pumps are also improperly called “immersion” pumps, capable of handling drainage water, i.e. water without impurities dissolved in the liquid and with solid particles no larger than 10 mm in diameter, or greywater, i.e. water with impurities dissolved in the liquid and solid particles no larger than 49 mm in diameter (depending on the pump!) or sewage, i.e. water with impurities dissolved in the liquid including faecal matter and solid particles even larger than 50 mm in diameter (again, the value depends on the pump).
Submersible pumps for drainage water are classic drainage pumps.
For all types of water, there are automatic pumps with float switch (abbreviation A-> Automatic), or manual pumps (abbreviation M-> Manual), i.e. without float switch.
